WoW!
Some of you have likely already seen this for I do not get a chance, nor do I really desire, to watch a lot of Sportscenter. However, I accidentally stumbled upon this link and was, well, I do not know really what to think.
It’s the video coverage of the New Mexico female soccer player who is likely the dirtiest player I have ever seen. My question is “did this girl have no idea she was on camera?” The things she was doing were so blatant it was like it was scripted. She is such an idiot. If you have not seen it… check out this link

Incredible … I am not really going to act ridiculous and proclaim she was unsportsmanlike. I think she is just trashy.

The sad part about that game is that there were a total of three red cards given and none of them went to her. It must have been a rather violent game for women’s soccer in general. Her moves were undoubtedly unsportsmanlike but I do think that people’s emotions get the best of them in sports. Look at Brandon Spikes’s latest eye-gouging. Just as alcoholic intoxication is not an excuse for any behavior, her emotional involvement is no excuse for the action itself. I am not going to discredit her for her violent disruption, but I do believe that she should be punished and that she should willingly accept the punishment no matter what the ruling may be.
I know that if girls did that every game, I would have season tickets. The same goes for Ron Artest. If you told me that a fan would have the chance to fight an NBA player every game, I would be an Oklahoma City Thunder fanatic.
